@briand G., should we consider improving Sales team management by replacing the sole Sales Leader role with several specialized Sales Coaches? This would create a coaching community organized by and for salespeople, enhancing motivation, creativity and ambition- not just focusing on numbers. It also offers peer recognition.
Thank you Val Ball for your feedback and question. There might not be a "one fits all scenario". However I do believe that any good and truly "Sales Leader" should be trained in coaching his/her team.
And it is not so much their (Sales Leaders) fault than maybe a lack from the organization itself to believe that since you have been a Rep yourself, you should know how to support and empower other to be successful.
